A Return and A Welcome

As some of you know, I recently spent almost a year as interim CEO at People’s Center Clinics & Services, a community health center with multiple sites in Minneapolis. This was my fourth stint as a CEO or other top executive at a significant nonprofit.  With each one, I have been privileged to work with extraordinary people—staff, community members and leaders—learning and growing from each experience.  

Now, as I return to my consulting practice, I’d like to welcome my new readers, and remind my past and current clients that my consulting focuses on six broad areas:

• Interim Executive Director and CEO positions in nonprofits. 

• Executive/leadership coaching that focuses on building emotional and social intelligence, and on being culturally and relationally responsive.  

• Strategic change that engages the whole system including all stakeholders—and that works with multiple realities and lived experiences.

• Diversity/inclusion/equity efforts that focus on outgrowing white-centric systems, structures, and practices. 

• Leading, advising, and consulting with organizations that focus on advancing health equity—and that must simultaneously adapt, innovate, and evolve.
